SS Vega Memorial Ceremony

There will be a short service held to commemorate the aid delivered to the Island from the International Red Cross on the ship SS Vega.

Aid was supported by the following countries Switzerland, Sweden, Portugal, New Zealand and Canada. Diplomatic representatives will be attending on behalf of respective embassies and high commissions.

Individuals who were in receipt of the Aid in 1944 and wish to be identified are encourage to contact the Bailiff’s Chambers.
